Built in 1889 as a trading house for import and export businesses, the building is now one of Auckland’s most beautiful and recognisable historical buildings.
The DFS Galleria was the recipient of an extensive renovation and reimagining, where the retention of its character was paramount through quality craftsmanship and attention to detail. The result was a marriage of high-end retail and heritage, which has become the destination for luxury shopping in central Auckland. It now stands centre stage as a landmark building near the start of Queen Street and within a stone’s throw of the city’s handsomely developed harbour front.
